..and it’s time for families to gather and friends to meet up. I really hope that everyone reading my blog will enjoy a great and peaceful Christmas holiday with their loved ones.
It doesn’t look like it will be a white one…more likely a wet one! The fields alongside the River Nene near my Northamptonshire studio have flooded and the Nene Valley has become a giant lake, much as it may have appeared centuries ago when the fields were frequently under water or marshy for many weeks of the year, making safe crossing places an important consideration for travellers
Only a year ago we had weeks of snow and frost which made for really good photography for my book, Northamptonshire in Winter, published by Halsgrove. It is still a thrill to walk into a bookstore like Waterstones or WH Smith and see my book on the shelf!
